Hey,
My name is Rudy. I live in Maryland. I completed my A.S. in Computer Science in 2019, and am currently working on getting my B.S. in computer science from University of Maryland. Being committed and disciplined is important to success; so I try my best to have those two characteristics. To some extent, I have succeeded with some of my goals. One of my current goals is to get a job in the computer science field.

My last job was a call center job in Hyattsville. I worked there for about three years. It was just a simple job where I scheduled trips for people wanting to use the Metro Access paratransit service. Before that I was a tax preparer and bookkeeper for a tax preparing company where I prepared individual and corporate tax returns. Tax preparing was nice, and before that job as a tax preparer, I fixed and resold laptops.

As I said before, being committed and disciplined is important to me. I have been successful in accomplishing some of my goals because I have been committed and disciplined. For me to get my A.S. in Computer Science, I had to be committed to getting the degree. I had a few setbacks in the process of getting the degree but I really wanted to get it, so I became more disciplined and made some changes so I could complete it. When I did tax prep, I had to get my license to do so in Maryland. There were some setbacks then and I still stayed committed and changed to make sure I could meet the requirements. So with my pursuit to get a career related to the programming field, I will make sure to stay committed and disciplined to ensure I can get a job in the field.
